What a couple of months it has been since my last Blog.

Our Provincial Grand Court meeting has come and gone as has the Grand Court Meeting at Leicester on the 26th October.

The Grand Master and his team attended the Provincial Grand Court Meeting, at Bury St Edmunds, on the 28th September, where I was Obligated, Invested, and Installed as Provincial Grand Master of the Province of East Anglia. It is an honour and privilege to serve the Province in this capacity, and I look forward, to working with all of you to develop and promote the Order across the Province.
I then had the pleasure of appointing and investing W Bro Danny Ellis as Deputy Provincial Grand Master.

Eighty four members of the Order attended the Provincial Grand Court meeting with seventy six members and guests dining. I believe that these are record numbers. Thank you all for your support.

Five Heads of Orders from around East Anglia attended the Lunch, representing the Cambridgeshire Craft Province, Knights Templar, Red Cross of Constantine, Royal and Select Masters, Knight Templar Priests and the Order of the Secret Monitor.

There many photographs of the day on our Provincial Website (you must log in to access them). Please peruse them at your leisure. Thanks to VW Bro Karl Debenham and W Bro Mel Herbert from the Province of Northumbria for supplying them.

Some nineteen members of the Province attended the Grand Court Meeting at Leicester on the 26th October and the Ancient Masonic Order of Alfred the Great on 25th October. My thanks to all who attended. It was a most enjoyable couple of days.

I must congratulate W Bro John Grevatt on his well-deserved preferment to the rank of Past Grand Banner Bearer.

Your Provincial Executive Committee members met on the 23rd October and your Court Secretaries will be informed in due course as to when we hope to visit your Courts either in a Team Visit or visits by the PGM or the Dep PGM.

I would also like to thank all those members who have visited other Courts in recent weeks particularly the travelling contingents from Court No 41 and Court No 84. Your support is invaluable and greatly appreciated by all.

I have been warmly welcomed wherever I have visited and I look forward to meeting you all during the course of the next 12 months.

I trust that my “Books of the Month” have been of some interest to you, and are encouraging some of you to compile short papers for your Installation meetings.

Yours sincerely and fraternally
Alex Allan
